About the Author:
Dr. S. Farooq did M.Sc. Ph.D. and D.Sc. From H.N.B.G. University D.A.V. (P.G.) College Dehradun. The subject of his Ph.D. thesis was Study of Chemical Changes in Cell Membrane and Effect of Herbal Compounds on which he was awarded Gold Medal. His D.Sc. Thesis was also on phytochemistry. He has published some 200 papers. He has written books on Medicinal Plants of Dehradun District. He is a Govt. recognised technical hand for formulation of herbal compounds for more than two decades. He is a Fellow of Metrology Society of India Fellow of Royal Society of Health (London) American Biographical Institute (U.S.A.) and Member Phytochemical Society of North America. He is the recipient of President Award and many national and international awards in recognition of his services in the field of Ayurveda for more than two decades and for his contribution to academics and social work. He is Member ROC and Ph.D. Examiner and Guide of various universities.
