About the Author:
Firoze B. Andhyarujina, [B.Com. (Hons.),
LL.B., LL.M. (Miami, US)], a designated Senior Advocate of the Hon’ble Bombay
High Court in the year 2001, is mainly engaged in litigation practice
concerning tax matters and company law. He was awarded the Rotary Foundation
Scholarship of the Rotary International to study Post Graduate Law at the
University of Miami, Coral Gables, U.S.A. He was awarded scholarship in
International and Comparative Law at Paris, France. During his entire academic
career, Mr.Andhyarujina has won more than seventy prizes and trophies both at
School, College and University Level. He had been a part time professor in the
past.
He started his career as a junior in the Chambers of
Mr.R. J. Kolah and Mr. B. A. Palkhivala. He has participated in some of the
important and outstanding cases that have laid down and interpreted the tax
laws of India. He has also argued some of the important trademarks and patent
cases at Bombay and Delhi High Courts. International Tax Review, World Tax
2006, has rated Mr Firoze Andhyarujina amongst the 5 Leading individual Tax
Counsel in India.
