About the author
Dr. K.S. Ravichandran, M Com, LLB, FCS, PhD, has been into practice as a Company Secretary since 1994.
He holds a doctorate from the Department of Management of Alagappa University on Prosecution of Directors under the Company Law and Criminal Law in India and UK, a Diploma in Electronics and Radio Communication Engineering and a Diploma in Technology.
He is a member of the International Association for Protection of Intellectual Property Rights, Insol International – a global organization for specialists in turnaround and insolvency matters and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is a member of the Core Group constituted by ICSI for formulating the Vision Plan 2022. He was a member of the Secretarial Standards Board of the ICSI.
He regularly appears before the National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Competition Commission of India, Trademarks Tribunals, Intellectual Property Appellate Board, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Arbitral Tribunals and Adjudicating Authorities, and other Tribunals and Appellate Tribunals. Several cases argued by him have been reported and oft quoted in Law Journals.
He was a member of the Expert Sub-group constituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for studying suggestions relating to chapters of the Companies Act, 2013.

Dr. Ravichandran had served the Indian Air Force for more than nine years as a specialist in Russian radar systems and had also been a lecturer in Commerce department of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh at Pasighat.
