This book presents a comprehensive treatment of the principles of hydraulics and pneumatics. The main objective of this book is to give a clear understanding of the concepts underlying hydraulics and pneumatics. Question papers of the last 12 years of VTU have been solved and a liberal number of numerical examples are given which include examination questions from various universities. Some of the problems of routine nature have been included to familiarize the readers with the numerical manipulations and orders of magnitude of various parameters that occur in the subject of hydraulics and pneumatics.
About the Author
Jagadeesha T is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut (Kerala). He is the recipient of the prestigious JRD Tata Scholarship and SMA (Government of Singapore) Scholarship. He has 25 years of experience in the industry, teaching, academic research, consultation, and has completed many projects with reputed organizations. He has worked with TATA Engineering Locomotive Company (India), TVS Suzuki (India), IBM Pvt. Ltd (Singapore), ASM (Singapore), and Applied Materials (Singapore and United States), APP Systems and Services (Singapore), ST Microelectronics (Singapore), Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing (Singapore), and Sitronics (Singapore).
