About Author
Mr Ramesh Pandita M.Lib. I.Sc, M.A (Sociology), M.B.A (IB) NET, M.Phil, Ph.D (Pursuing) is working as Senior Assistant Librarian at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (BGSB) University, Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, India since November 2007. Prior to joining BGSB University, he worked as a College Librarian in the Tagore College of Education, Akalpur, Jammu from September 2004 through September 2007 and had a brief stint as a lecturer (contractual basis) in the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Jammu, Jammu. Mr Pandita has more than 75 research papers to his credit, published in various journals and conference proceedings, both at the national and the international level and has published over 100 popular articles in various newspapers and magazines. He is the recipient of the ILA C.D. Sharma Award (2011) for the best paper written and presented.
Dr Shivendra Singh BSc, M.Lib. I.Sc, Ph.D is working as Assistant Librarian at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, Punjab since November 2006. Prior to his appointment at BFUHS, he served with National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali. He has worked with Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad and Dainik Jagran, Noida as Assistant Librarian. He was awarded with UNESCO prize in the category of National participant in appreciation of the commendable performance shown in the course assignments in UNESCO-DSIR-IIMK international workshop on Greenstone Digital Library software in 2006. He has more than 40 publications to his credit, published in both national and international journals. He implemented the Electronic Information Retrieval System (EIRS)—a digital library of NIPER, Mohali during his tenure at the Institute. He has attended more than 40 workshops and conferences.
