The manual has been prepared according to the syllabus of allied health science courses offered in many health universities of India. General anatomy has been discussed in brief in Section I and it provides a sound foundation for understanding the body structure in general. The Section II (musculoskeletal system) is specially designed for physiotherapy students. The organ system with basics on embryology is essential for all the allied health science courses and is discussed in Section III. The central nervous system endocrines and special senses have been discussed in Section IV. Three-dimensional coloured diagrams have been provided for better understanding of the most difficult and also for the important topics. Such topics are also supplemented with line diagrams which can be reproduced very easily by students in subjective evaluation examinations . At the end of each block an exercise section has been formulated which enables the students to evaluate themselves by answering objective questions. The model questions will help the students a lot in preparing for the sessional and university examinations. The objectives of all the chapters have been clearly identified. The essential applied aspects are highlighted in the colour boxes.
