    Description

CBS PUBLICATION Manipal Manual Of Anatomy: For Allied Health Science Courses 3Rd Edition by Sampath Madhyastha

All chapters in this book are designed with the primary aim of making paramedical students understand the anatomy of the human body with clinical relevance. Highlights of the book: Complete coverage of the syllabus prescribed by almost all the health universities of India offering undergraduate paramedical courses in one volume. Section I (Chapters 1 to 8) explains the general anatomy with necessary microscopic structures of basic tissues of the body. This section also includes basic genetics. This section is necessary for all the allied health science courses. Section II (Chapters 9 to 14) is designed mainly for bachelors of physiotherapy and occupation therapy students. However, for the remaining paramedical students the objectives were clearly defined in the beginning of the section to avoid any confusion. Section III (Chapters 15 to 25) is organ system, which is carefully designed to meet the requirements of all the paramedical students. Section IV (Chapters 26 to 37) is designed mainly for bachelors of physiotherapy and occupation therapy students. However, for the remaining paramedical students the objectives were clearly defined in the beginning of the section. At the end of each section a number of MCQs is provided, so that students can answer and self evaluate. This helps students to understand the key issues in each chapter. There are also sample questions (short notes, brief answers, major questions) listed at the end of each section for the benefit of the students and teachers. Chapter 38 is uniquely designed for all paramedical students who need to understand the importance of human anatomy in various clinical procedures. At the end model question papers selected from various health universities were provided for the benefits of students. Medical schools that follow the systemic rather than regional anatomy approach for integrated teaching and learning will also benefited by this manual.
