About the Author:-
Malathi Murugesan (MD), Microbiology, is working as a Senior Resident at Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore. She completed her undergraduation from Govt. Theni Medical College, Tamil Nadu and postgraduation from Chengalpattu Medical College, Tamil Nadu during 2006-2012 and 2013-2016 respectively. The author has completed PG Diploma in Infectious Disease (PGDID) conducted by Apollo-Medvarsity Education. Dr Malathi successfully cleared Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (DTM&H) from Royal College of Physicians, London in 2018. She has received best poster award in a national conference during her postgraduation. She has presented a number of posters and has seven publications including a few papers in PubMed indexed journals to her credit. She has core interest in academics and research in the field of Microbiology. She has contributed as an author to various books, which include AIIMS-CBS Instant revision series, AIIMS Supplement, KONCPT-20 Authors. Besides, she has also contributed as the editor of Textbook of Microbiology for BSc and Post basic Nursing students by Dr Anju Dhir.
