Separate chapters describe adaptogenic, antibacterial, antiviral, antidiabetic, analgesic, anticancer, cardiovascular, antifertility, hepatoprotective, antihuman immunodeficiency, viral, antiprotozoal and immunomodulator acting herbal drugs. A chapter on tissue culture focuses the techniques involves for the production of secondary metabolities. Isolation of natural products by various chromatographic techniques with suitable examples is presented. The last chapter is devoted to cultivation of about 37 medicinal plants.
