About Author:
N Gowri, MSc (N) is currently working as an HOD & Professor in the Department of Community Health Nursing in Our Lady of Health School and College of Nursing, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. She graduated from Adhiparasakthi College of Nursing, Melmaruvathur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and received the best outgoing student award. S he completed MSc (N) in Community Health Nursing from Rani Meyyammai College of Nursing, Annamalai University and received gold medal in the year 2007. She has 15 years of teaching experience. Her rich and various experiences as a Tutor, Lecturer, Reader and Professor helped to prepare this manual in a student-friendly manner. She has published several research articles in various reputed journals. She also holds a membership in TNAI.
G Grace Jebakani Sweety, MSc (N) is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Nursing in Our Lady of Health School and College of Nursing, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. She completed her undergraduate course from Bishop's College of Nursing, Dharapuram, Tamil Nadu. She was awarded Omayalatchi Memorial Endowment Gold Medal for her academic excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing in her undergraduate course. She pursued her postgraduate in Community Health Nursing from College of Nursing, Madras Medical College, Chennai and Masters in Psychology from Tamil Nadu Open University, Chennai. The author is currently pursuing her PhD (N) from Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She had placed her research work in many National Nursing Journals and presented scientific research papers in International Nursing Conferences. She was the resource person for National Nursing Conferences and Disaster Workshops.
