About Authors:
Aruna Nigam, MBBS, MS, FICOG, FMAS , MNAMS, is presently Professor and Unit Head (Endoscopy Unit) in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and HAH Centenary Hospital, New Delhi, and has teaching experience of over 15 years. She has a special interest in Gynae Endoscopy, Gynae-oncology, and High-risk Pregnancy. She has more than 200 Research publications in various national and international journals. She is the author of Mobile app "Mechanism of Labour: Normal to Abnormal" first of its kind for undergraduate, postgraduate students, and health care workers. She has been awarded various awards and has delivered more than 100 lectures. She is actively involved in teaching, research, and academics. She is Editor-in-Chief of "Pan Asian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology" and "ISCCP Newsletter" and Senior Executive Editor of "Indian Journal of Medical Specialities" and "Journal of Case Reports".
Atka Kriplani, MD, FICOG, FICMCH, MNAMS, FRCOG, FAMS , FIMSA , is currently Director & Head , Centre for Minimal Invasive Gynecology, Obstetrics and ART, Paras Hospital, Gurugram, Haryana . She has been the past president FOGSI, AOGD and served many other societies in various capacities. She was former Professor & Head, Director in-charge of WHO-CCR , HRRC, & Family Planning in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She has been honored with a Padma Shri by the President of India in the year 2015. Dr. Kriplani has also been presented the prestigious Dr. B C Roy National Award for the year 2007 in recognition of services as "Eminent Medical Teacher" by the Government of India. She is the recipient of the Honorary FRCOG degree awarded by Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, London, for major contributions made to the advancement of the science in practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has the honor of delivering 770 guest lecturers all over India and abroad on various clinical subjects. She has contributed more than 380 scientific publications in various national and international journals and has written four books.
