Description
Bloomsbury Publishing (UK) Reconceptualising Strict Liability for the Tort of Another by Dr Christine Beuermann
Adopting a novel approach this book examines how to resolve difficulties experienced by courts in imposing strict liability for the tort of another. Looking beyond the traditional classifications of ‘vicarious liability’ and ‘liability for breach of a non-delegable duty of care’ it explains all instances of strict liability for the tort of another in terms of the various relationships in which the courts impose such liability. It shows there is a unifying feature to these various relationships. That feature is authority. Using this feature a new expositive framework is constructed within which strict liability for the tort of another is understood.
