Preface
The book is designed as a source of practical information for the diagnosis and
management of “Growth and Nutrition in Children”: A topic of great relevance and a
subject which is one of the core strengths of any pediatrician. The need for a quick, easy
to recollect book on Growth and Nutrition with simple ready reckoners has been felt,
right from my post-graduation days. It is well known that Pediatric Postgraduates of our.
country follow standard textbooks from developed countries, where the information on some of the common problems encountered in
tropical countries such as under nutrition is limited and is of little relevance. Also, the guidelines brought out by Indian Academy of Pediatrics
focusing on the ground reality in India needs active internet search and are not compiled into a single organized source. From its conception,
the book on “Growth and Nutrition in Children” was created with a singular purpose of being a comprehensive medical chapters in this book
are compiled by young successful Pediatricians, who know the constraints of an exam going postgraduate in our country. We have striven hard
to ensure that the reader will find answer to most of the recent questions appeared in many university examinations form this book.
