At SCRxIPTS Pharmacy, former DEA agent Logan Pierce (Pharmacy Manager) uses his skills to combat fraudulent prescriptions from drug addicts as he struggles to fight his own addiction. Logan risks losing his family for a relationship he has developed with a co-worker. Paige Ramirez (Staff Pharmacist) has faced traumatic situations at the pharmacy, and has trust issues after a devastating break-up with her longtime boyfriend. She finally lets her guard down and because of her carelessness is placed in a terrifying situation. There has always been an absent patient-pharmacist relationship at SCRxIPTS until Mike Steele, a newly graduated pharmacist, starts his first job. He brings a hands on approach to counseling patients that makes him the star of the pharmacy, which rubs Logan the wrong way. After going to pharmacy school and earning his doctorate degree, he faces the problems of being a professional while his childhood friends pester him to help get fake prescriptions filled. He also tries to keep his relationship together when a co-worker catches his attention. Everyday, pharmacists strive to dispel the rumor that all they do is count pills all day. There is a constant battle to get prescriptions filled in fifteen minutes or less while making sure the patients get the correct medications and dosages with no other drug interactions.
