About The Author
Baijayantimala Mishra MD (AIIMS), FRCP (London) FRCP (Glasgow), FIDSA (America), FIMSA, MAMS is currently Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. After completing her postgraduation in microbiology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, in 1996, she joined the Post graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, as a faculty and rose to the position of Professor in Virology. She has 25 years’ experience in the field of viral diagnosis, research and teaching. Prof. Mishra is a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, Fellow of the International Medical Science Academy, and Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India. She has to her credit more than 100 scientific papers published in various national and international journals of repute and has conducted more than 20 research projects.
