About the Author:-
Kabir Sardana MD, DNB, MNAMS is currently Professor, Department of Dermatology, Dr RML Hospital and PGIMER, New Delhi. He was previously Professor, Department of Dermatology, Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, from 2006–2016. He is an alumnus of MAMC (1991–96) and completed his MD from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, in 2000 where he spent another 4 years as a SR and a Pool Officer. He is a DNB holder and a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. He has been Secretary and Vice President, IADVL (Delhi Branch), and Secretary, Society of Pediatric Dermatology, Delhi. He is the author of more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific publications cited on Pubmed, and author/editor of a number of books, listed on Google books and Amazon, some of which are Diagnosis and Management of Skin Diseases: An Evidence- Based Approach, Lasers in Dermatological Practice, Clinical Approach to Acne Vulgaris, Clinical Approach to Fungal Infections, Fungal Infections: Diagnosis and Treatment, IADVL Manual of Recalcitrant Dermatophytoses, Hair loss: Disorders, Restoration and Management, Handbook of Eczema for Dermatologists, Atlas and Text of Skin and Soft Tissue Infections and Infestations and Systemic Drugs in Dermatology. His last book was a high quality image-rich Handbook of Pigmentary Disorders for Practitioners and a similar Atlas for Dermatologists is underway. Pallavi Ailawadi MD, DNB is currently practising as Consultant Dermatologist at Skinacea Clinic, Delhi, and Faridabad. She is faculty of dermatology at eminent MD/MS/MCI entrance coaching institutes and teaches the intricacies of the subject to aspiring students. She completed her MBBS from the Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi (2006-11), and completed her MD from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, in 2015 along with DNB in 2016. She was Senior Resident, Dermatology in Maulana Azad Medical College and Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi (2015-18). She was member of the executive committee of IADVL-DSB (2016-17). She has to her credit multiple publications in national and international journals and chapters in various textbooks. She has presented lectures/talks and papers at state, national and international conferences. She received the EADV young fellowship award in 2015 and IADVL observership in lasers and aesthetic dermatology in 2018.
