The first edition of Tissue Adhesives in Wound Care coincided with the approval of the first cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive approved by the Food and Drug Administration in the United States. Since the original work, other cyanoacrylate adhesives have been approved for wound closure and multiple other uses.
