About the Author
S. N. Alam is Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Orissa. He has also taught at BITS-Pilani. He has taught courses like Composite Materials, Physics of Materials, Metallography and Heat Treatment Laboratory, Computational Techniques in Material Science Laboratory, Materials Technology and Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity.
Syed Samsul Alam is Vice-Chancellor of Aliah University, Kolkata. During his teaching and research career, spanning about 35 years, he has published more than 70 research articles in various international and national journals of repute. He has guided several research scholars leading to Ph.D. degree in the areas of Statistics, Operations Research, and Computer Applications. He has also five books to his credit.
