This treatise titled '150 Great Personalities' has been conceived with the idea of acquainting students and general readers with the lives of the great men and women of the world. This is an enlarged and revised version of our earlier book '125 Great Heroes of Indian History'.The 'personalities' have been selected from a wide cross-section and include scientists. litterateurs, social reformers, political leaders, spiritual heads, freedom fighters, etc. It presents the pen-sketched from Homer to R.K. Narayan, Alexander to Tenzing Norgay, Zarathrustra to Dalai Lama XIV, Chanakya to Amartya Sen, Socrates to Rajiv Gandhi, etc. The entries have been arranged in chrological order under their respective areas.Our objective in this presentations has been to add to the common facts, such huggets of information, which are informal in nature and yet relevant to nake reading interesting. In fact these are the mini-biographies.We hop that the book its present form will be found more useful, interesting and informative by our readers. Suggestions for further improvement are welcome.
