This book in its present second edition discusses in detail the traditional Two Dimensional Geometry using freely the concepts of sets and modulus, well known to the students of the day. For quite sometime, a few of the theorems in coordinate Geometry were proved in the form of necessary conditions only but were being used as sufficient conditions as well. We have tried to bridge this gap as far as possible by properly stating and proving these in the form of necessary and sufficient conditions. The book consists of a chapter on``A line and a curve`` which deals with the common properties of all the standard curves viz., circle, parabola, ellipse and hyperbola.
The book consists of about two hundred and fifty solved examples illustrating various concepts and a thousand unsolved problems (with hints to some of them) selected from the examination papers of various Indian universities and competitive examinations.
