    Description

CENGAGE LEARNING Biology Organisms And Adaptations Media Update Enhanced Edition 1St Edition by Robert K Noyd

The Enhanced Media Edition of BIOLOGY: ORGANISMS AND ADAPTATIONS captures your students’ passion and excitement for the living world! The authors build on the connection we all have to nature to inspire students to engage with biology in the same way they do when visiting zoos, aquariums, or just taking a walk in the park. Each chapter uses fascinating organisms such as blue whales, salamanders, and redwood trees to present, organize, and integrate biological concepts. Merging the excitement and passion for living things with an understanding of biological concepts, this highly accessible and practical approach to the study of biology produces students who are scientifically literate and connective in their thinking. The Enhanced Media Edition is a fully integrated package of print and media, providing comprehensive learning tools and flexible delivery options.

    New to this Edition:
.MindTap is the most engaging and easily personalized online solution in Biology. Add your favorite resources, YouTube videos, web links, and more. You know what’s best for your students and you can deliver it with MindTap!

.The clear MindTap learning path focuses on student workflow with activities for before class, in class, and after class. It also includes the readings, study resources, and instructor-added materials.

    Features:
.Various animals and plants engage students and provide the context for presenting the core concepts in biology. Each chapter opens with an organism that illustrates the key concepts in the chapter. The featured organism and others also appear throughout the chapter.

.The consistent use of organisms allows for repetition and reinforcement of major concepts. Unlike traditional approaches that often present a concept early and expect students to recall it many chapters later, the approach reinforces processes and adaptations among different organisms throughout the book such as meiosis in animal, plant, and fungal systems.

.At the end of each section, "Check and Apply Your Understanding" questions ask students five questions from the recall level to the application level of understanding. A running glossary is included to assist students in learning the "language of biology."

.The end of chapter suite of tools helps develop question-asking skills and scientific thinking, including Self-Quiz questions, Applying the Concepts problems, Data Analysis exercises, and the "Question Generator."

.Conceptual exercises in MindTap help students learn and understand key concepts with randomized, automatically graded questions, exceptional text interaction, and immediate feedback.

.Instructor resources include transition support to the organisms-based approach, lecture prep resources, sample activities, alternate organisms, and more.
