About the Author
VN Sharma is Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology, SMS Medical College, Jaipur, and Technical Advisor, LBS College of Pharmacy, Jaipur. He was Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, SMS Medical College, Jaipur; Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology, and Principal, SN Medical College, Jodhpur, and SP Medical College, Bikaner; Professor of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Benghazi (Libya); Professor of Pharmacology, College of Medicine, Sulaimaniya (Iraq); Chief, Planning and Development, Rajasthan Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Jaipur; Professor of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Al Fateh University, Tripoli (Libya). His teaching experience spans more than 40 years and during this period, he was awarded Visiting Exchange Scholar Followship, College of Medicine, Chicago; Commonwealth Sr. Medical Fellowship, University of London; Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize by ICMR. He is a member of several professional societies, Fellow of National Academy of Medical Sciences. He has been President of Indian Pharmacological Society. At 42nd Annual Conference of Indian Pharmacological Society, 2009, Kolkata, he was felicitated for lifetime achievement in appreciation of his pioneering research and outstanding contributions to the discipline of pharmacology.
