Section IV Adresses policy and management issues.Illustrated with satellite imageries, maps, photographs and tables the book will serve as a reference book for undergraduate and postgraduate and students, Planners, researchers, perofessionals and community members with a comman goal of ensuring long term sustainable development of fringe areas.About the AuthorPunyatoya Patra obtained her M.phil and Ph.d degrees in geography from department of geography, delhi school of Economics, university of delhi. She is an Associate professor of geography at aditi Mhavidalaya university of delhi. She was an Associate fellow at indian Institute of Advanced Study Shimla from 2006 to 2008. She has also completed P.G. Diploma in Remote Sensing, Dehradun in the year 1997. She is the author of a book on land degradation in Tropical Highlands and has also published half a dozen papers in leading journals and edited books.
