Prof. D. nagaraju is one of the senior Professors of he Department of Studies in Earth Science, University of Mysuru. he did his Ph.D. In Hydrology and Water resources Evaluation methods, from mysuru University. He teaches Applied Hydrology and allied subjects at Mater's Degree leve. He has guided 18 scholars for their doctoral degrees and supervised more than 200 dissertations of Mater Degree Students. He has published more than 110 papers in high impact factor journals and shown good citation index. He has conducted manor research projects sponsored by DST, UGC and other agencies. He has vast experience in analyzing water chemistry data of several river basins and districts in Karnataka. He has specialized in hydrogeomorphology, Hydrogeology, Geophysics and Applied hydrochemistry with Remote sensing and GIS applications. He got extensive field experience in groundwater prospecting. He is a member of several academic bodies, research committees, conservation groups and social service organizations. Notable works on Watershed management, water quality evaluations, basin-wise/district-wise hydrogeological studies with computer application have been done by him during the last two decades
