About the Author:
DK Maharaj obtained his BSc Engineering (Civil) degree in first class with distinction from Bhagalpur College of Engineering, Bhagalpur; ME degree in first class in soil mechanics and foundation engineering from BIT, Mesra, Ranchi; and PhD from IIT-Madras, Chennai. He has been Director, Principal, Deputy Director, Dean, Head of the Department, and Professor in various institutions and universities. At present he is Director, Principal and Professor at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT), Guru Nanak Institutions (GNI), Mullana, Ambala, Haryana. He has taught at institutions and universities like Government Engineering College, Bhagalpur; Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, Ranchi; Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, Rajasthan; Singhania University, Rajasthan; and other government approved institutions. He has published more than 50 papers in international, national journals and conferences. He has organised and attended many national conferences. He has taught various civil engineering and interdisciplinary courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students for more than two decades. He has guided several PhD, MTech scholars and BTech students. He has done more than 35 numbers of consultancy work in civil engineering. Besides this, he has written another book.
