Description

This is a video review of the physical exam and bedside tools relevant in clinical cardiology. It consists of four modules, covering the physical exam pertinent to pathology of the heart and the fundamental principles and applications of EKG and echocardiography.

The atlas consists of four modules as separate CDs, which cover the different aspects of bedside cardiology. The first module deals with the general examination of the patient and the specific examination of the precordium. The second module deals with the heart sounds and various murmurs, wherein audiovisual technology has been used to appreciate the subtle nuances of cardiac auscultation. The third and fourth modules are devoted to the technique of recording an electrocardiogram (ECG) and performing echocardiography (ECHO), respectively.

Purpose
The intent is to provide physicians the principles behind the cardiovascular physical exam, EKG, and echocardiography in a comprehensive and concise manner.
