He has been associated with media and communications for over fifteen years, initially as editorial staff of a leading daily from Bangalore and subsequently as Field Supervisor with Distance Education and Communication Centre (DECCEN). Narendra Basu has been working on and in media since the early 1970s. In 1982 he began a new phase of his career: as a professor of journalism technologies and the democratic process.
