Government of India paved the way for transformative reform in education system by launching the New National Education Policy (NEP) on 29th July 2020 that aims to address the many growing developmental imperatives and proposes the revision and revamping of all aspects of the education structure to create a new system that is aligned with the aspirational goals of 21-century education while remaining consistent with India's traditions and value system. NEP 2020 has its own impact on educational system as a whole in which libraries and library and information science education play an important role in nation building. The numerous changes that could bring library science education and services are focussed on: National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and LIS Education-UG, PG with Multiple entry and exit Options; LIS Research: Towards more Holistic Inter- disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research in Library and Information Science; Library as Virtual Learning and Resource Centre, MOOC and OER to support and strengthen LIS Education and Research; Global Access to Knowledge Resources connecting North-East Libraries: Developmental plans for Quality LIS Education and Libraries in line with NEP 2020, Optimal Learning Environments and Support for Students, Bringing Libraries at your device envisioned at New Education Policy 2020, Anational Book Promotion Policy, Making the availability and accessibility of books in school/public libraries, Building a culture of reading across the country, ICT-equipped school/public libraries in villages, Use of Public library spaces for adult education, Devise appropriate Career Pathways Development (CPD) for library staff.The present publication consists of 24 (twenty four) numbers of research articles contributed by library practitioners, educators and researchers in line with NEP 2020 to make it 21st century LIS education and services in the changing information scenario and job market. LIS education with multiple entry and exit, inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary nature of LIS education, libraries to create a virtual leaning environment are going to be major challenges for LIS educators and practitioners. The articles contributed by practicing librarians, educators and researchers are rich content and quiet beneficial to maintain the vision of NEP 2020 and future career of LIS students, professionals and researchers
