There are questions from all the 14 tasks included in the MRCOG Part 3 examination. The book has •15 examination papers, each with 10 questions and detailed answers. These papers are similar to those given at the final examination in medical schools globally. These simulate a true examination setting, and are mainly intended for undergraduates to understand the type and procedure of the OSCE examination.
Eranthi Samarakoon MBBS, MS, FRCOG (UK) and
Chathura Ratnayake MBBS, MS, FRCOG (UK)
are senior lecturers and consultant obstetricians and gynaecologists at the University of Peradeniya and the Teaching Hospital Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. This book is based on over 3 decades of experience as active clinicians and dedicated clinical teachers who have been teaching medical students for the final MBBS examination and postgraduate students for the Doctor of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and MRCOG (UK) examinations. They are examiners for the final MBBS examination in all eight universities in Sri Lanka and for the MD examination. They know that success at an examination depends on understanding the style and the process of the examination and the ability to face the examination without undue stress. They have used their experience as senior examiners to highlight all the difficulties faced by undergraduates and postgraduates at an OSCE examination.
