PETALS, an intergrated term book course for classes 1 and 2, is a set of two books for each class (one per term). The series is based on the guidelines given in the National Curriculum Framework for School Education, 2015. The complete course is bifurcated into two terms. The books cover the core subjects English, Hindi, Mathematics and Envirenmental Studies. Conforming to the directives issued by the HRD ministry, these books aim to reduce the weight of school bags and the curriculum is designed in such a way that it does not assign any homework to the students.The course is well-graded and neets the curricular expectations at the primary level. The content is child-centered and activity-based which lays emphasis on the holistic development of the children. It consists of elements of creativity and interactive learning which bring selected and graded keeping in mind the students's age and maturity level. They conform to the prescribed syllabus and are relevant to pupil needs.
