This textbook has been prepared for the students of the BA Part II English Literature course of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. The texts in this book have been selected by the universitys Board of Editors. The anthology is divided into two sections prose and plays. Jacobs Villa for Sale, a witty comedy by French film-maker Sacha Guitry Day of Atonement, an award-winning piece by British playwright Margaret Wood; a story of guilt, forgiveness and redemption, set in the background of the Holocaust
