About the Author Dr. Mohana N. is currently an assistant professor (senior) at the Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, in the Division of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences. She has 15 years of rich teaching and 5 years of research experience, primarily focused on statistics, formal languages, automata theory, and graph theory. She completed her UG and PG from the University of Madras, Chennai, and obtained her Ph.D. from VIT Chennai itself. She has published numerous research papers in various national and international journals of repute. She teaches statistics to both UG and PG engineering students. She has conducted several workshops, faculty development programmes, hackathons, internship projects, capstone projects, corporate training programs and value-added programs on statistics, data science, and machine learning using open-source tools like R, SciLab, Knime, Python, Minitab, and Weka, etc. besides invited talks.
