About the Author
S.S. Bhavikatti served NITK Surathkal in different positions like Head of Civil Engg. Dept.; Chairman, Centre for Continuing Education; Chairman, Central Computer Centre and Dean. He has also served SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad; Rao Bahadur Y. Mahayeleswarappa Engineering College, Bellary (Formerly Vijayanagar Engg. College) and B.V.B. College of Engg & Technology, Hubli. He has published more than 60 technical papers in national and international journals and seminars and 17 books in civil engineering. He guided 62 candidates for M.Tech thesis and 5 candidates for Ph.D.
