Sivanandini Duraiswamy is an old girl of Ladies College, Colombo and she holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of London. She is presently on a special assignment as the Consultant (Hindu Affairs) ai the National Integration Programme Unit of the Ministry of Justice and National Integration She is the President of the Saiva Mangaiyar Kalagam (Hindu Women's Society) the premier Hindu women's Organization in Sri Lanka working In the fields of educational, cultural, religious and social fields. She is the President of the Hindu Council of Sri Lanka.
