About the Author
Jagbir Singh is the Head, Dept. of Geography, Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi, India. For the past fourteen years he has concerned himself with deeper issues involving environmental disasters (both natural and manmade), environmental ecology and sustainability. The use of Remote Sensing, GPS and GIS has enabled him to work at local, national and international levels. He has received scholarships to attend international conferences in Sweden, U.S.A., Australia, Uzbekistan, Singapore and Malaysia.
