CBS Publishers and Distributors Viva Voce In Oral Medicine And Radiology by Tapasya Vaibhav Karemore and Preeti Chawla Arora
Assessment of student’s knowledge has various dimensions in Indian education set up. Viva voce is one of the commonly practised examinations amongst them since health profession schools were established. Viva voce examination is a form of assessment which was traditionally chosen for its flexibility and potential for the testing of cognitive skills closely associated with medical practice. To analyze validity, feasibility and reliability of viva voce examination, many academicians have studied every angle of it. It was suggested that to make it more standard, including a large number of questions and encompassing widest possible content, would help to maximize the validity of viva voce examination as an assessment tool.
Considering the need of time and suggestions by students, an attempt is made to produce a guide for revising oral medicine and radiology. Though it is never meant to replace textbooks, it can help in many ways to recollect information at the last hour and regain the confidence. It will be good to read a textbook followed by this guide for better retention of the topics learnt. This book will change the reader’s perception of the subject and his/her apprehension of revising the vast course in limited time.
