He is one of the most eminent pediatricians, teacher par excellence and a medical writer. He has served as the Secretary-General and President of National Neonatology Forum of India and President of Indian Academy of Pediatrics. He has been conferred several lifetime achievement awards by various academic bodies.
Ashok K Deorari is Professor and Head, Department of Pediatrics, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is a popular teacher and has promoted evidence-based newborn care practices through webbased technology. He has launched and promoted the movement on quality based health care services. He is President-elect of National Neonatology Forum for the year 2020. He has authored several books and monographs on various aspects of newborn care.
